About Us
Doctor Timothy Thunell, D.V.M.
Doctor Thunell grew up in Pennsylvania. In 1988, he graduated from the
University of Pittsburgh with a degree in biology and chemistry. In 1994, he
graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He worked
in general practices from 1994 through 1998 in Alaska, North Carolina,
South Carolina, and Pennsylvania. From 1998 until 2001, he worked in
emergency and critical care in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Indianapolis.
He did relief work for other veterinary clinics in Indianapolis from 2001 through
2003 prior to opening Shelbyville Road Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Thunell is married
and has a son and daughter.
Staff Biographies
Aaron is a kennel assistant and is a senior at Franklin Central. He has been working here for about 5 months. He has 3 dogs, Sadie, Bruno and Jackie and 2 cats, Sandy and Callie.
Gary is our newest vet assistant. He has been here for about 2 months but has been working in the veterinary field for 19 years. He worked at Brownsburg Animal Clinic for those 19 years. He worked with Dr. Thunell at Brownsburg before he opened SRVH. He also sponsors The Wolf Park. He has 3 cats, Harry, Louie and George.
Teresa is a kennel assistant. She has been working here almost 3 years. She has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is a senior in Girl Scouts. She has 1 cat, Angel.
Megan is a Registered Vet Technician. She graduated Vet Tech school in June 2009 and has an associates degree. She has been working here for about a year. She has 3 dogs, Abby, Sox and Daisy Doodle and 1 cat, Milo.
Lina is a vet assistant. She has been working here for about 5 years. She is currently working part-time on weekends. She is married and has 2 daughters, Madison and Cheyenne, and 1 son, Joe. She has 2 dogs, Riley and Henry and 1 cat, Motor.
Robin is a vet assistant. She has been working here for 4 years. She is married and has 1 daughter, Melissa and 1 son, Matthew. She has a dog, Casey, and 2 cats, Bourbon and Janeway.
Dee is our office manager. She has been working here for just over 4 years. She was a client before she began working here. She started working here answering phones and worked her way up to office manager. She has been married for 19 years and has 2 sons, Michael, and Kyle. She has 3 dogs, Gomer, Gracie Snapper and Princess and 3 cats, Bug, Spunky and Tigger.
